I am a woodworker with the trade name "sato wood studio”.
I produce vases for flowers, and objets d'art using a technique called wood turning. I aim for a beauty that reveals the life of the wood while also using the knots and splits in the wood.
For finishing, I use oil and lacquer finishes, using materials of natural origin so that I can take my time and enjoy the changes that occur over time.
There are two types of pieces that I produce: regular pieces that I decide on the shape of, and one-of-a-kind pieces that bring out the charm of the material.
